The typical time from submitting an application to completion of repairs is typically 3-6 months depending on the time of the application and type of repairs.
Your costs are a $15.00 application fee, 10 hours of Community Service and a Project Fee equal to 10% of the total project cost. HFHUC will work with you to determine a payment plan for the Project Fee if necessary. All other costs are a grant to you, (a brush with kindness) and do not need to be repaid.**
** Or grant does not need to be repaid by you unless you transfer ownership of your home within 5 years of project completion. If you live in your home for 5 years after the work has been completed and follow all the grant terms, then you will owe nothing.
